ParticipantHello,
another problem with the configuration which I do not get solved.
Since I want to get away from Google, of course I do not want to use Google Maps.
However, when I click on the address in the calendar entry, Google Maps opens. Can I change the link to OpenStreetMap or similar?
Thanks
and best regardsMay 21, 2023 at 10:04 am #7011room34
KeymasterBing and OpenStreetMap are supported with the Map Source parameter:
https://icscalendar.com/icsdocs/#mapsource
Note however that if the link to Google Maps is contained directly in the event’s
DESCRIPTION
data, this will have no effect; it is strictly for setting the link associated with theLOCATION
data in the ICS feed.May 21, 2023 at 10:30 am #7012Lutz Natschke
ParticipantHello,
yes I have already set the setting to OpenStreetMap but WITHOUT success.I have looked at the ICS file in the editor but found nothing unusual.
Here is an excerpt (single appointment):

Here, too, Google Maps is linked (despite Apple).May 23, 2023 at 1:50 pm #7021Lutz Natschke
ParticipantSUPPLEMENT to the request:
after several tests with different ICS files from different sources (always without success) I compiled the ICS shortcode manually and set the parameter “mapsource” to “bing” / “openstreetmap” ([ics_calendar url="https://..." view="month" location="maplinks" mapsource="bing"]) and it worked.
So the error is in the calendar generator / ICS calendar configurator.
Here the value from the “map source” is not taken over.
I enter the error here in the forum under “Troubleshooting and Bugs” explicitly, in case other users stumble across it.May 23, 2023 at 2:20 pm #7026room34
KeymasterI’m closing out that other thread to keep this discussion centralized.
I tested this issue with my sample feed, and the option in the Calendar Builder is working properly.
In the same iCal data you posted above, there is nothing for LOCATION. As I noted above, the Map Source selection only applies to LOCATION. I think we have not quite gotten to the source of the issue you’re experiencing. Please fill out the Support Request Form and provide your complete System Report so I can troubleshoot this further outside of the forums.

KeymasterJust a follow-up on this issue, as we’ve resolved it over email.
I’ve confirmed that there was a bug in the Calendar Builder that was preventing the Map Source from being applied. A fix will be included in the next ICS Calendar Pro update. Affected users who would like early access can contact me for a link to download v. 4.8.3.1-beta-2.
