It’s been a busy day. After rolling out version 8.7.0, I had more time to look at another requested feature: the ability to open the full event description in a lightbox instead of in the small hover box or toggle-in-place that have been available since early in the plugin’s lifespan.
Version 8.8.0, available now, introduces the toggle="lightbox" option. This expands on the previous (and still supported) toggle="true" option.
With toggle="lightbox" your event descriptions will now pop up in a full window “lightbox” overlay, which can be very helpful if you tend to have very long event descriptions! Now you are no longer limited to the very small amount of space available within the calendar display itself.
Be sure your shortcode also includes eventdesc="true" or no event descriptions will be loaded!
