Today marks the release of ICS Calendar Pro version 5.3.0.
This version mainly focuses on some “under the hood” changes, but there are a few new features as well.
The biggest set of changes involves handling of the ICS Calendar Pro license — how the site communicates with our servers for checking the license, and status messages around license-related issues.
Additional “under the hood” changes include reorganizing the plugin’s file structure and eliminating a couple of unnecessary files.
As for new functionality, a few changes have been introduced in the Calendar Builder, offering additional configuration options for Full, Up Next, and Widget views. This includes some minor bug fixes as well.
Overall, due to the changes in the license-related code, this update should improve performance in a few edge cases, specifically if/when the web server has trouble communicating with our licensing server, and as a result I would strongly encourage all ICS Calendar Pro users to update to this version as soon as possible.
